The Cultural Spring

The Cultural Spring is a three-year project that will get more people in Sunderland and South Tyneside to experience and be inspired by arts and culture.

Artists are already working in our ten wards to enthuse, educate and encourage residents, and to work with them in developing an exciting programme of performances, workshops, and other activities.

We’ve already got a lot going on in our wards – Red House, Castletown Southwick, Fulwell and Roker/St Peter’s in Sunderland, and Biddick and All Saints, Boldon Colliery, Cleadon and East Boldon, Whitburn and Marsden, and Whiteleas in South Tyneside.
